About the event

The core aim of the Australasian Paediatric and Congenital Echocardiography Conference (APCEC) in Perth is to elevate regional clinical excellence by delivering a world-class, practical masterclass modeled after the prestigious European Symposium.

APCEC seeks to unite the multidisciplinary cardiac imaging community with leading global experts to foster collaboration, share clinical innovation, and bridge basic to advanced morphological and imaging knowledge. The conference aims to equip delegates with lesion-specific skills that are immediately applicable to everyday clinical practice, advancing the standard of patient care across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

Welcome to Perth

Perth is Western Australia’s sunny capital, a relaxed city set on the wide blue Swan River, with the Indian Ocean on its doorstep. It is one of the sunniest capitals in the world, and its compact, walkable centre sits just minutes from bushland, river foreshore and white-sand beaches.

Delegates will find a city that blends a modern skyline with heritage laneways, a thriving small-bar and dining scene, and easy day trips to world-class wine regions, the historic port of Fremantle and the quokkas of Rottnest Island. Perth is also home to one of the world’s oldest living cultures: the city stands on Whadjuk Noongar boodja (country), and Aboriginal culture is woven through its parks, art and tours.

In April, Perth experiences warm, sunny days and mild, comfortable nights, with highs around 24–27°C and lows dropping to around 13-15°C. It is the perfect time to visit our shores!
